How One Emotional Support Dog Brightened the Day at Our San Clemente Senior Care Home

At Accent on Seniors, we believe senior care should include more than daily support. It should also include joy, connection, comfort, and meaningful moments that make each day feel special. Recently, our residents enjoyed a visit from a local emotional support dog, and it brought so many smiles to our home.

Located in the Shorecliffs community of San Clemente, Accent on Seniors is a small residential board and care home where residents receive personalized care in a warm, supportive environment. Because our home is intentionally small, we are able to create experiences that feel personal, relaxed, and meaningful for the seniors in our care.

The visit from our four-legged friend was a perfect example of that. Residents had the chance to pet, interact with, and spend time with a gentle emotional support dog who brought a calm and joyful energy into the home. Moments like these encourage conversation, lift spirits, and help residents feel connected to the community around them.

For many seniors, animals can bring back happy memories of beloved pets, family homes, and familiar routines. A simple visit from a friendly dog can create comfort, laughter, and a sense of companionship.
